Established in 1977

REHC’s vision is to promote horse-racing events in the Kingdom of Bahrain, bringing to the forefront the best horses and trainers and offering racing enthusiasts an opportunity to participate in one of the best international racing events in the region. One of REHC’s unique features is that it boasts one of the finest grass tracks and grandstands in the entire Middle East. There are two turf tracks measuring about 2,400 meters and one sand track for training along with a grandstand with a seating capacity of over 3,000.

REHC’s racing season starts from the first week of November with once a week racing continuing through to the end of April. About 300 horses participate during the racing season that takes place an average of 7 races per meeting and a field of 9 runners. Six races are formed for thoroughbreds, one for Arabian horses; three are local thoroughbreds and three for imported.

Dedicated marketing communication campaigns both at the regional and international arena have helped position the REHC as a premier organization promoting thoroughbred horse racing. REHC enjoys national support from some of the leading names in government, industry and the corporate sector.
